Republic of Ireland boss Steve Staunton looks certain to recall Andy Reid for Wednesday's Euro 2008 qualifier against the Czech Republic in Prague.
Stephen Ireland is missing because of a family bereavement and Reid is expected to step into the central midfield role.
Kevin Doyle and Richard Dunne have been passed fit after suffering knocks in Saturday's 2-2 draw with Slovakia.
The Czechs are without suspended striker Jan Koller but Milan Baros is likely to start after a back injury.
"The conditions on Saturday definitely wouldn't have suited Andy (Reid) but he is such a talent he can conjure a goal up out of anything or play that killer pass," said Staunton.
"I think this pitch will suit our players as much as theirs.
"They are a very good footballing side but I like to think our lads are growing and they are used to playing on good pitches."
Ireland flew back to the Republic on Sunday after learning of the death of his grandmother shortly after the Bratislava qualifier, in which he scored.
Staunton also goes into the crucial Group D game without injured pair Steve Finnan and Darren Potter.
The Republic trail the second-placed Czechs by three points with Germany topping the group.
