Germany U21 2-2 Rep Ireland U21 |  Marc Andre Kruska of Germany challenges James O'Brien | Two goals by Wolves midfielder Stephen Gleeson secured a creditable draw for the Republic of Ireland's Under-21 side in a friendly against Germany in Furth. Germany had opened the scoring in the 18th minute through Rouwen Hennings. Gleeson intercepted a poor pass and ran through to equalise on 48 minutes and scored again on 63 from close range after Eddie Nolan had squared. Germany levelled with five minutes left when Andreas Beck got his head to a free-kick by Marc Andre Kruska.
