Stuart Pearce saw his England Under-21 side draw with Romania in his first game since becoming full-time coach. Gabriel Agbonlahor marked his recall to the side by crossing for Matt Derbyshire to tap England ahead.
Romania levelled when Bogdan Stancu's free-kick from the edge of the area came back off the bar and went over the line off keeper Joe Hart's back.
The visitors had Cristian Scutaru sent off for two bookings but Pearce's side could not force a winner.
