Hearts captain Christophe Berra has been called up to the Scotland squad for the friendly against South Africa. Scotland boss Alex McLeish wants the 22-year-old as cover for Steven Pressley, Russell Anderson and Stephen McManus for the game on 22 August.
"I'm delighted to be called up for my first full cap and am looking forward to it," Berra told the Hearts website.
"I'd really like to thank the Hearts coaching staff who have helped me develop in the past 12 months."
Hearts assistant boss Stephen Frail added: "It is great for Christophe and it is a reward for the performances that he put in last season.
"It is a boost for everyone at Hearts."
The Scots take on South Africa on 22 August, before facing Lithuania and France in group B next month.
