 | Many pundits in Israel call Ben Sahar Israel's Wayne Rooney |
England will not qualify for Euro 2008 if they lose in Tel Aviv on Saturday, believes Israel midfielder Idan Tal. Both teams have seven points from their four qualifying Group E fixtures.
"I would go as far as to say that the team who loses this match will have no chance of qualifying," said Tal, who is suspended for the match.
"England will be in good shape for the game because it is a must-win game for them. They know that they cannot afford to lose."
Tal and key striker Robert Colautti miss out through suspension - but Bolton midfielder Tal remains convinced that Israel still have the personnel to worry England.
"There are other players of real quality to watch out for," added Tal. "England will have to turn their attentions to the likes of Ben Sahar and Toto Tamuz.
"Sahar is only 17 but is already a household name in Israel and is getting the best grounding of all at Chelsea.

"Many pundits in Israel call him Israel's Wayne Rooney, but that it is putting too much pressure on the boy. He has a lot of natural ability and knows how to score goals.
"The other striker that everyone is talking about is Nigerian-born Toto Tamuz. Toto is only 18 and has come off the bench in our last three Euro qualifiers.
"He has just been granted Israeli citizenship and is available to play on Saturday, when many thought he was going to miss out.

"He is elusive and very strong. Toto has fantastic natural ability - he could be a world-class striker in years to come."
The match will be played at the Ramat Gan stadium - and Tal is confident that the atmosphere inside the ground can compensate for the difference in ability between the two teams.
"I have to be honest and say that England are a much better team than us and we know that," added Tal, who joined Bolton in July 2006 from Maccabi Tel Aviv and has 58 caps for his country.
"But with the whole of the Israel nation backing us, it is like having an extra man on the field.
"England will find the atmosphere at the stadium intimidating. Home advantage certainly helps us.
"Many of the top teams around the world have found it difficult to get a result at Ramat Gan and that will be a factor. The Israeli fans will create an atmosphere that will be up there with any major event around the world.
"The Israeli public love their football and the country has been waiting since the end of the World Cup for this fixture.
"The whole country will be euphoric in the build-up to the game. For days leading up to the match the only talk will be about this game. In many ways, nothing else will matter."
Tal has struggled to establish himself in the first team at Bolton but is a key member of the Israel team.
Although he is suspended for the match against England he is in the current squad as he will be available for the match against Estonia on 28 March.
"I am bitterly disappointed to miss out on playing England in Tel Aviv," added the 32-year-old.
"I have played in all the qualifying games up to now, but this is the one every Israeli wants to play in and it hurts not to be out on the field against England.
"I would have given up all those games just to play on Saturday."
