Pearce is hoping he can combine both jobs |
Stuart Pearce will be able to cope with managing Manchester City and England Under-21s, says the international team's former boss Peter Taylor. Pearce has spoken to the Football Asssociation and is keen to take the Under-21 role but City are not willing to release him for the games.
"It's very possible to do the job part-time," said Taylor, who quit the position to focus on Crystal Palace.
"It didn't get in the way of my job at Palace or before when I was at Hull."
He added: "You're talking about missing one or two days' training, which doesn't affect the team's performance.
"People, unfortunately, think you are doing more than you are and the job gets in the way. But it doesn't."
