Collins says he will concentrate on being fresh for next season |
Sunderland defender Danny Collins is the latest international to fall out with Wales manager John Toshack. Collins believes he was snubbed in the friendly with Paraguay in March when he was kept on the bench, and has ruled himself out of Wales' tour this month.
"I said I would rather the break to be fresh for next season, but when John asked if I'd quit international football I said 'no'," said Collins.
Toshack has had high-profile rows with Robbie Savage and Ben Thatcher.
There is also a problem with Reading midfielder John Oster, who is again absent from the Wales squad that has been selected to play against a Basque XI and against Trinidad and Tobago.
When asked about Collins, Toshack said: "He asked not to be considered so we haven't, with regards to the future we'll have to wait and see."

But Collins expanded on the row and his anger over the Paraguay game, when six other players came off the bench but he was left to cool his heels.
"Nobody is prouder to play for his country than me, but that was not on," Collins told the South Wales Echo.
"I told the manager that at the time I had played 20-odd Premiership games and that putting six players in front of me and not even getting me on the field was a poor show.
"I've been to the majority of camps and not figured in playing - with players being picked before me from lower leagues - but said nothing about it.
"I don't know if my international career is over, I hope not, but we'll have to see when the next squad is announced."
