Robinho helped Brazil win the Confederations Cup |
Santos striker Robinho claims that Real Madrid have offered his club 14.2m to buy the player and cannot understand why the offer has not been accepted. The 21-year-old Brazilian wants to move to Madrid and said on Monday: "I didn't expect such a fuss when I got a concrete offer to leave Brazil.
"At the moment I'm not in the right frame of mind to play in Brazil.
"It's difficult to say that I don't want to play for Santos any more, but that's how life goes."
Robinho claims Santos president Marcelo Teixeira has broken a promise to let the player leave for 6.76m.
"In October last year, when PSV Eindhoven and Benfica were interested in me, the president told me that he would let me go after the Libertadores for 10 million Euros (6.76m)," said Robinho.
 | My mind is at Real Madrid |
"Real Madrid are offering $25 million (14.2m) and he doesn't want to let me go. I hope he keeps his promise."
Teixeira is adamant that with Robinho under contract until 2008 any club that wants to sign him will have to meet a 28.4m penalty clause for the player.
Robinho missed training with Santos on Friday and Saturday and was left out of the team for Sunday's Brazilian championship match at home to Juventude.
"I'm not indisciplined and I don't have any privileges within the squad," said Robinho.
"My mind is at Real Madrid and there's no reason to train when my mind is with Real. I would get in the way of the coach (Gallo)."
Robinho made it clear after the Confederations Cup, which Brazil won by defeating Argentina in the final, that he sees his future in Europe.
"It'll be good for the safety of my family," said Robinho, whose mother was kidnapped and held captive for 40 days last year before being released.
"Spain is an ideal country for Brazilian players and I know Real coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo very well."
But Teixeira said he was fed up with the constant speculation and accused the Spanish giants of jumping the gun.
"It's a lack of respect for Santos," he said.
"They might have economic and financial power but it doesn't mean that they can do what they want, when they what."
"There is no situation which is favourable to any negotiation with Real Madrid unless it involves the penalty clause.
"He grew up and became valuable at Santos and we need him to stay. It's still not the moment for him to go."
