Wales skipper Ryan Giggs says he did not deserve the man-of-the-match award in Saturday's 2-0 World Cup qualifying loss against Austria in Cardiff. "I can't believe I'm getting it... I was to blame for the first goal and probably the second," Giggs said.
"You just can't do that at this level because you get punished, they were silly goals to give away.
"We played some good stuff in parts and if we put our chances away it would have been a different story."
The defeat took the gloss off Giggs winning his 50th cap for his country, in a match that was new boss John Toshack's first competitive game in charge.
Giggs did give the ball away on the halfway line for Austria's first goal but there were plenty of other red shirts in positions to make amends, not least centre-halves Danny Gabbidon and Rob Page who dithered for both goals.

Wales never looked quite as comfortable as their visitors, who they face again in Vienna on Wednesday, but had arguably the better chances.
Both Carl Robinson and John Hartson failed to score from eight yards, and Austria goalkeeper Helge Payer produced fine saves to deny Giggs and Simon Davies.
Referee Paul Allaerts also turned down two good penalty appeals for handball.
"I was right next to it - I thought it was handball - but sometimes you get those and sometimes you don't," Giggs added.
"I don't know if the referee was in a good position to see, but we're not complaining about that.
"We had enough chances and got in good enough positions, but probably our final ball wasn't up to scratch.
"The good thing is we've got another game in four days to try and rectify it, so we've got to regroup - there were plenty of good things to come out of the game - and take that into Wednesday."
