Eriksson recently vowed to lead England to a trophy |
England will play friendlies against the United States and Colombia in Chicago and New Jersey in late May. England coach Sven-Goran Eriksson said: "Playing the USA in their own country is a big test.
"We wanted to play these matches close to the end of the season to ensure players rest properly over the summer.
"They are an excellent team who have made enormous progress over the last 10 years and were very unlucky not to make the semi-finals at the last World Cup."
England will play the USA at Chicago's Soldier Field on 28 May and Colombia three days later at Giants Stadium.
England last played the USA at Wembley Stadium in 1994, a game the hosts won 2-0.
