Scotland's results were disappointing under Vogts |
Berti Vogts believes the value of his efforts with Scotland will become clear within four years. "My work for the Scottish football association was very, very successful, but the results weren't good enough," Vogts told Germany's Bunte magazine.
"I think it's going to take three or four years to see how important the work of Berti Vogts was in Scotland."
Vogts resigned on 1 November, blaming "disgraceful" personal abuse by a minority of fans.
Vogts suffered poor results during his two-and-a-half year tenure.
And his departure was announced after Scotland picked up just two points from their opening three games in the campaign to reach World Cup 2006.
