Clyde enjoys international scene
NORTHERN IRELAND V AUSTRIA
Mark Clyde is in line to play his first Windsor Park international
World Cup qualifying Group 6 | 13 Oct 1945 BST | Windsor Park | Updates BBC Radio Five Live
Wolves defender Mark Clyde has got the taste for international football - and wants more.

The right-back has been converted to left wing-back for Northern Ireland but you will not hear him complaining.

"It is a bit strange at the moment but after a few more games I should be okay," said the defender.

Clyde followed up a bright debut against Wales with a sound show in the 0-0 in Azerbaijan and is now set to line out against Austria on Wednesday.

If he does play on Wednesday, it will be his first international at Windsor Park.

Clyde is making good progress for country and club after coming through the under-21 set-up.

He said: "I was not going to turn down the chance of playing even though left wing-back is not my normal position.

"Hopefully I can hang in there and help the team.

"We are looking to improve against Austria as the game against Azerbaijan was a scrappy affair.

"We didn't play as well as we can and now we need to get three points on the board on Wednesday."
