Poom set to face Scotland

Poom has been cleared for Estonia duty after Sunderland's play-off exit
Estonia have named Sunderland keeper Mart Poom in their 23-man squad to play friendlies against Scotland and Denmark later this month.

Poom is clear for international duty after Sunderland missed out on a place in the Division One play-off final.

Estonia face Scotland in Tallinn on 27 May and have another home game against Euro 2004 qualifiers Denmark on 30 May.

Coach Arno Pijpers has selected mainly home-based players, with 12 called up from league leaders Flora Tallinn.


Goalkeepers: Mart Poom (Sunderland), Martin Kaalma (Flora Tallinn).

Defenders: Teet Allas, Erko Saviauk, Enar Jaager, Ragnar Klavan (all Flora Tallinn), Andrei Stepanov (Torpedo Moscow), Alo Barengrub (Valga), Dmitri Kruglov (Levadia Maardu).

Midfielders: Martin Reim, Ott Reinumae, Marko Kristal, Meelis Rooba (all Flora Tallinn), Maksim Smirnov (TVMK Tallinn) Aleksandr Dmitrijev (Levadia Tallinn), Taavi Rahn (Volon Lutsk).

Forwards: Joel Lindpere, Kristen Viikmae, Vjatsheslav Zahovaiko (all Flora Tallinn), Ingemar Teever (TVMK Tallinn), Andres Oper (Torpedo Moscow), Tarmo Kink (Spartak Moscow), Sergei Terehhov (Haka).
