Georgia win boosts Irish
Switzerland's Raphael Wicky, Stephane Chapuisat, Fabio Celestini, Patrick Muller and Johann Vogel celebrate victory over the Republic of Ireland in Dublin
Switzerland still lead Group 10 by two points
The Republic of Ireland's Euro 2004 qualification hopes were boosted by Georgia's victory over Russia in Tbilisi on Wednesday.

Victory would have moved the Russians to the top of Group 10 but Malkhaz Asatiani's 11th goal earned the Georgians a 1-0 victory.

Switzerland still lead the table on eight points, two ahead of the Russians who now have lost two away games in the group.

The victory moves Georgia level on four points with the Irish with both teams having played four games.

Meanwhile, two goals from striker Indrek Zelinski gave Estonia a 2-0 win over Andorra in a Group Eight qualifier on Wednesday.

Estonia remain in fourth place in the group, but have now closed to within a point of Belgium, who are in third spot behind Croatia and unbeaten leaders Bulgaria.

In Group Four, Latvia beat San Marino 3-0 to continue their good form and they are now level on points with leaders Poland with a game in hand.

The teams in Group One are battling for second place behind runaway leaders France and Slovenia are currently leading the chase.

They won 3-1 at bottom club Malta who are yet to get off the mark.

Israel are third after beating Cyprus 2-0 in Italy.
