Antony Sweeney has now scored eight goals for Hartlepool this season
Hartlepool midfielder Antony Sweeney hit a hat-trick as his side came from two goals down to book an FA Cup third round tie against Watford.
Andy Williams capitalised on a loose ball to put Yeovil ahead and a low shot from Ed Upson doubled their lead.
But, twice, Sweeney took advantage of poor defending at free-kicks, first with a volley and then a tap-in.
A rasping scissors kick from Ritchie Humphreys put the hosts in command before Sweeney drove in his third.
Hartlepool first-team coach Mick Wadsworth told BBC Tees:
"I wasn't unduly worried and I don't want to sound blase about that but, before the game, I had a terrible feeling we'd start slowly.
"It's a great mark of the players' resilience and confidence that they were prepared to work really hard to get back into it.
"To get back to 2-2 at half time was a terrific springboard to go and win."
Yeovil manager Terry Skiverton told BBC Somerset: "I was a bit more disappointed with the experienced players tonight.
"They didn't really get a foot on the game. They didn't drag the other players with them.
"But they were fantastic in the second half and you've got to give them full credit.
"The difference was in the strength of their set plays, and people wanting to come in and attack the ball."
