Wycombe 3 - 1 Chelmsford

Scott Rendell scored twice as Wycombe overpowered Non-League Chelmsford City to reach the FA Cup third round.

Rendell gave the League Two side the lead when he reacted quickly at a corner to turn the ball home.

Sam Higgins curled in a free-kick to give Chelmsford hope but Rendell scored his eighth of the season to restore the advantage from Kevin Betsy's cross.

Stuart Beavon's counter-attack strike sealed the win late on and secured Wycombe's spot in the third round draw.

Chelmsford City manager Glenn Pennyfather told BBC Essex:
"Naturally disappointed after a game like that, I thought we were unlucky to be 1-0 down at half-time.

"I thought we played very well during the first half and we came out second-half sluggishly.

"For a period in the second half we dominated the game and Wycombe looked edgy."
