Barrow came from behind to force an FA Cup second round replay with 10-man Oxford United.
Jamie Cook put United ahead in the first half after cutting inside onto his left foot and firing home via a deflection from Mike Pearson.
But the visitors levelled when Luke Foster was sent off for a professional foul on Robin Hulbert and Andy Bond fired the penalty past Ryan Clarke.
Jack Midson had a chance to win it for Oxford but his header looped wide.
The teams meet in the replay on Tuesday, 8 December.
