Steve Jones scored the winner as Walsall beat Southern Premier League Stourbridge in the FA Cup first round.
Stourbridge started well but Sean Evans wasted an early chance to give the hosts the advantage.
Walsall struck when Jones latched on to Troy Deeney's flick-on and smashed a fierce shot past keeper Stuart Brock.
Darren Byfield had a goal ruled out for offside before Alex Nicholls hit the bar, while Nathan Bennett and Evans went close to snatching an equaliser.
