Leon Britton won the FA Youth Cup with West Ham United in 1999
Leon Britton insists Swansea City are determined not to let FA Cup third-round history repeat itself against non-league Histon on Saturday.
The Swans were humiliated by minnows Havant and Waterlooville last season and Britton believes the Championship side will not suffer deja vu this time.
"We don't want to make the headlines for the wrong reasons," said Britton.
"We had that last year against Havant, it was a night to forget and we don't want to experience it again."
Histon are 63 places lower than Swansea in football's pyramid system and the Blue Square Premier side caused the shock of the last round when they beat Leeds United.
Swansea are on their worst win-less streak for six years and their eight-match drawing run has equalled the Football League record.
Swans wary of giant-killing - Martinez
And after suffering a giant killing last season, Swansea could be seen as a prime candidate to be embarrassed by a side second in their division.
But Britton, who had a penalty saved on Swansea's ill-fated night in Hampshire, said last year's humbling by Havant will stand them in good stead.
"We know the difficulties non-league teams pose and we will be professional," said the Swans midfielder.
"It'll be a tough game and a tough environment but we know what to expect as last season we played three non-league teams in the FA Cup.
"It'll be a full house and their crowd will be right up for it."
Histon is a small village just outside of Cambridge but their football club has made gigantic strides, having achieved four successive promotions to make the top tier of non-league football.
Manager Steve Fallon's team have already knocked out two league teams this season in Swindon and Leeds.
