Tim Sills scored twice as Torquay defeated Evesham to reach the second round of the FA Cup.
Sills opened the scoring from close range after 27 minutes following a Kevin Nicholson corner.
Evesham goalkeeper Nathan Vaughan pulled off a string of saves to keep his team in the tie.
But Sills doubled the lead with a shot from the edge of the area as Torquay extended their winning sequence to 13 games in all competitions.
