Millwall scored three late goals to see off a resolute Chester side and book their place in the second round of the FA Cup.
Lewis Grabban, who could easily have been sent off for a late tackle on Laurence Wilson, poked the Lions ahead from close range after 76 minutes.
Neil Harris added a second when he showed great control to coolly slot home Chris Hackett's right-wing cross.
And Ashley Grimes made it 3-0 with a fine 20-yard strike.
