Carlisle 1-1 Grays

Blue Square Premier side Grays Athletic put aside their poor league form to earn a fine draw away against League One strugglers Carlisle United.

Grays snatched the lead when Jon Ashton headed Fabian Wilnis's free-kick into the penalty box to find Jamie Stuart who hit a crispy volley from 10 yards.

Only a fine finger-tip save by keeper Ben Williams prevented Ishmael Welsh from doubling the lead.

Teenage substitute Gary Madine poked in the equaliser with six minutes left.
