Bournemouth knocked League One side Bristol Rovers out of the FA Cup in a match that saw both teams reduced to 10 men and five others booked.
Rovers' Byron Antony was dismissed after he was shown two yellow cards a minute apart, just before half-time.
Defender Jason Pearce scored the winner in the 75th minute, heading home Warren Cummings' cross following a corner.
Cherries striker Lee Bradbury then saw red after collecting his second caution, but they held on for the win.

"I told my strikers today that they could be a hero if they put the ball in the net, but I thought we had 11 heroes out there today."
