Havant & Waterlooville players celebrate their heroic draw |
Havant & Waterlooville assistant boss Charlie Oatway was delighted to earn a home replay against Swansea after their third-round tie ended 1-1. He told BBC Sport: "We know we were very, very fortunate, but we managed to get something out of the game.
"To get something from a club of this stature is a great achivement.
"It was a fantastic occasion and we have managed to beat York, Notts County and get something at Swansea. The boys will remember this one I'm sure."
The Blue Square South side are now the only non-league side to go into the hat for the fourth round draw.
The replay at Westleigh Park will be played on Wednesday, 16 January.
Brett Poate's two-footed lunge on Andrea Orlandi earned a straight red card in the 79th minute with the incident sparking an angry clash between both sets of players.
Swansea defender Alan Tate also got his marching orders, with Kevin Austin and Havant's Shaun Wilkinson seeing yellow for their part in the tussle.
Oatway added: "The sendings-off helped us and it disorganised them a little bit and it managed to work out for us."
