McLeish's Birmingham side lost 2-1 away at Huddersfield |
Birmingham boss Alex McLeish believes his side should take a long hard look at themselves after they were knocked out of the FA Cup by Huddersfield. Chris Brandon's late strike gave the League One side a 2-1 victory over McLeish's Premiership strugglers.
And after the defeat the Scot said: "Every one of our players can look in the mirror and say 'we've let ourselves down and let the fans down'.
"We had three or four internationals and we should be better than that."
Huddersfield manager Andy Ritchie was delighted with his side's victory but has called on his team to correct their faltering league form.
"We rode our luck on one of two occasions but we had the chances," he said.
"It's fantastic for the town, the fans and not least the players. But it's back down to earth on Monday.
"I think that result challenges us to reproduce that form in the league - that's what I'll be saying to the lads in the week."
