Tyson scored twice after the interval as Forest stretched their lead

City's battling qualities kept the scoreline blank for 35 minutes but Kris Commons put Forest ahead after playing a neat one-two with Chris Cohen.

Tyson made it 2-0 four minutes into the second half with an angled drive and then forced the ball home at the near post from Arron Davies' cross.

Lincoln got a consolation when Jamie Forrester scored from close range.
