Tyson scored twice after the interval as Forest stretched their lead |
Nathan Tyson scored twice as Nottingham Forest booked their place in the second round of the FA Cup. City's battling qualities kept the scoreline blank for 35 minutes but Kris Commons put Forest ahead after playing a neat one-two with Chris Cohen.
Tyson made it 2-0 four minutes into the second half with an angled drive and then forced the ball home at the near post from Arron Davies' cross.
Lincoln got a consolation when Jamie Forrester scored from close range.
