Bristol Rovers eased into the third round of the FA Cup third round despite getting an early scare from Rushden. Rovers fell behind early in the game when keeper Steve Phillips allowed an intended cross by Marcus Kelly to sail over his head from 50 yards.
Andy Williams equalised from Rickie Lambert's pass before Craig Disley fired in low to give Rovers the lead.
Craig Hinton headed in a cross from Lambert, who then scored twice from passes by Disley and Stuart Campbell.
