Ishmel Demontagnac scored a superb goal as Walsall progressed in the FA Cup. The teenager unleashed a tremendous left-foot shot which screamed into the roof of the net from 25 yards to make sure of victory for the Saddlers.
It came when Shrewsbury were having their best spell of the match and threatening to force a replay.
Michael Ricketts powerfully headed in a cross from Daniel Fox for the opener while Clayton Ince saved Shrewsbury's best effort from Stewart Nicholson.
