Nathan Tyson scored his fifth goal in four games to help Nottingham Forest end Salisbury's FA Cup dreams. The non-league outfit had started well with Danny Clay's deflected toe-poke from an angle hitting the woodwork.
Tyson made the breakthrough after 52 minutes when, having been played in by Junior Agogo, his sliding shot squirmed under Ryan Clarke and trickled in.
City's claims of offside after Tyson played a square ball for Nicky Southall to slot the second fell on deaf ears.
