Murphy nominated for FA Cup award | | Nuneaton Borough's Gez Murphy has been nominated for the FA's player of the third round following his last minute penalty in the draw with Middlesbrough. Murphy calmly kept his nerve to tuck the ball home in the 90th minute to cancel out Gaizka Mendieta's opener. If Nuneaton get through their replay they will take on Warwickshire neighbours Coventry City. Other contenders for the award include Tamworth's Scott Bevan and Saul Deeney from Burton Albion.
