Portsmouth chairman Milan Mandaric has called an end to his war of words with Southampton counterpart Rupert Lowe ahead of their FA Cup fourth-round tie. Mandaric was furious when manager Harry Redknapp quit Pompey and was later appointed Southampton manager.
He said: "I have spoken with Rupert and we have agreed enough is enough. There is no point in having two chairmen fighting ahead of a massive game."
Premier League chief executive Richard Scudamore brokered the peace deal.
Mandaric revealed: "Richard telephoned me to ask if I would speak to Rupert if he called me and I said of course I would.

"About five minutes later I got a call from Rupert and we had a very frank and honest discussion.
"A few harsh words were exchanged but we agreed that for the sake of this game and for the sake of both sets of supporters we would call a truce. I do not want any more commotion."
Mandaric had been unhappy that Lowe had not let him know of Redknapp's appointment as Saints boss.
