FA Cup winner Nick Holmes hopes some of his previous good fortune will rub off on his Salisbury City players when they face Sheffield Wednesday on Sunday.
Holmes was part of the Southampton side that shocked Manchester United 1-0 in 1976 to win the FA Cup.
Now he has his sights set on perhaps an even bigger upset when he takes Dr Marten's Eastern league side Salisbury City to Hillsborough to face 1993 FA cup finalists Sheffield Wednesday.
"Getting through to the first round proper was wonderful," beamed the former Saints midfielder.
"It was one of those days that you will cherish for a long time and we would like to think that there are a few more around the corner."
"There is a different feeling to sleepy old Salisbury these last few days. everybody is buzzing about the place.
"We average gates of about 500 at home and we will be taking close to 2000 on Sunday, so it's a big one for us!"
But Holmes is forced to admit that this Cup run will never top winning the famous trophy as a player.
"For me the pinnacle was winning the FA Cup. If we can get a result on Sunday it will be really special, but you can never take away actually playing and winning the FA Cup."
Holmes admits that his players had already been dreaming of a glamour tie if they got through.
"We talked about it tongue-in-cheek during the week and by some good fortune it came out that way.
"Sheffield Wednesday were the biggest side in the draw, it's probably the plum tie of the round."

Holmes is adamant that his players will enjoy the day regardless of the result.
He jokes they will set off for Sheffield 48 hours before the big game, to make sure they can find it!
"We will make the most of it, stay in hotels, relax, do a bit of training and hopefully take in a game on the Saturday, probably Bolton against Saints before getting ourselves keyed up for the game on Sunday.
"We will go out there to perform to our highest ability and I know the odds are stacked against us.
"But there have been some strange results in the FA cup in the past and I am sure there will be one or two more on Saturday and Sunday.
"We will enjoy the day but we will enjoy it a lot more if we win!"
