Shakhtar Donetsk scored three away goals in 12 minutes to stun Roma and seize the advantage after the first leg of their last-16 Champions League tie.
Simone Perotta nodded Roma ahead from close range before Jadson equalised with a deflected strike.
Douglas Costa curled in a superb shot to give Shakhtar the lead before Luiz Adriano calmly slotted in the third.
Jeremy Menez pulled a goal back with a great effort from just outside the area but Shakhtar held on for a superb win.

Shakhtar had the priceless away goal, but moments later they were in dreamland when Costa bent in a cracking effort from 20 yards.
Roma were rattled and their evening was to get a lot worse when John Arne Riise, in a valiant attempt to keep the ball in out on the right, gave away possession to Costa, whose square ball into the area was swept in by Adriano.
Shakhtar were far more defensive after the break, understandably, as Roma launched wave after wave of attacks.
Menez, who had been recalled to the starting XI, looked the most potent of the Roma forwards and he should have at least hit the target with a volley which was brilliantly teed up by Totti.
However, the Frenchman was accurate with his next effort, a 20 yard strike which found its home in the top left of Doni's net.
In the last 10 minutes, Roma substitute Paolo Castellini forced Andriy Pyatov into pushing away a fierce strike before he was called into action to block a low effort from Totti.
