Pavel Dotchev has left as CSKA Sofia boss after just three months

Pavel Dotchev has resigned as CSKA Sofia coach just three days before their Europa League play-off clash with Welsh champions The New Saints.

The 44-year-old quit after just three months in charge because the Bulgarian side picked up just one point from their opening three domestic games.

A CSKA statement said: "Pavel Dotchev is no longer coach of CSKA. The name of his successor will be announced later."

CSKA hope to name their new boss before Thursday's European home game with TNS.
