Dutch winger Boudewijn Zenden's �8m transfer from Barcelona to Lazio has broken down.

The 23-year-old was set to move to the Roman club after both clubs agreed the fee, but Zenden has blamed Lazio for failing to complete the deal.

He said: "We are going to have to return to the negotiating table but I hope to have a solution in the coming days."

The Dutchman is currently training alone in Barcelona as the first team are on a pre-season tour of Holland.
