Torres is still fighting to be fit to face Everton on Sunday
Liverpool will be without Fernando Torres for their crucial Champions League match in Debrecen on Tuesday.
The striker is recovering from a groin injury and Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez does not want to rush him back.
The Reds must win in order to retain any hope of qualifying for the knock-out stages but their efforts will be meaningless if Fiorentina beat Lyon.
Lyon have qualified already and the Italians will be looking to progress for the first time in a decade.
Benitez said of Torres: "We thought it would be two or three weeks and he's only 12 or 13 days into that so there's no point in him going.
"The next few days will decide if he is fit for Everton (on Sunday), but at this moment there are no guarantees."
