Scots learn Euro League opponents

Europa League

Aberdeen will meet Czech side Sigma Olomouc or Fram from Iceland in the Europa League third qualifying round.

Czech outfit Slovan Liberec wait for Falkirk if the Bairns can build on their 1-0 first leg lead over Vaduz.

Motherwell face a tricky tie against Steaua Bucharest or Ujpest if they can overcome a 1-0 deficit when Flamurtari visit Scotland next week.

The third round ties are played on 30 July and 6 August, with the winners reaching a final qualifying round.

Aberdeen and Falkirk will be at home for the opening games, with Motherwell away for the first leg, if they make it through.

Ujpest are being coached by former Celtic reserve boss Willie McStay as the Glasgow side recently settled a link-up deal with the Hungarians.

But the Romanians appear favourites to progress from the second qualifying round as they currently hold a 2-0 first leg advantage.

Sigma Olomouc beat Kilmarnock 4-0 on aggregate in a 1998 Uefa Cup tie and former European champions Steaua last played a Scottish club when they took on Rangers in the Champions League groups stages in 1995.

Hearts will enter the tournament in the next phase, as will sides dropping out of the Champions League qualifying rounds.
