2200: Time to wrap up, then. Groups A-D are no more, it's all about E-H now, as Wednesday sees more Champions League last 16 and Uefa Cup places up for grabs. Join Danny Baker on BBC Radio 5 Live for 606 pretty much right now, and come back tomorrow - Cheesy's in the hotseat, I'm led to believe. Take it easy.
Danny Baker thread on 606

2156: Time for some Player Rater chat? Always. Cluj's Juan Culio clearly impresses you lot - he's got 7.54 so far, but super sub Didier Drogba is miles out in front on 8.21 for Chelsea. Over in Netherlands, Liverpool are rater rampant, with sweet left-foot's Albert Riera edging out ahead on 7.55. Frustrated? Vote on...

2150: "Chelsea looked a completely different side tonight when Drogba came on. If he stays fit and doesn't do anything else stupid, the season could be about to take a turn for the better for Chelsea."

2147: Teams through to last 16 from tonight's groups, definitive:

1st: Roma, Panathinaikos, Barcelona, Liverpool.
2nd: Chelsea, Inter Milan, Sporting, Atletico Madrid

Uefa Cup: Bordeaux, Werder Bremen, Shakhtar Donetsk, Marseille.

2143: "19 goals tonight. However it seems Keane hasn't written his letter to Santa yet!"
Guy, via text on 81111

2139: "Chelsea's mission accomplished - but hardly achieved in style. The applause that greets the final whistle is tinged more with relief than celebration.

"Scolari can start plotting for the last 16, but he will know this was a performance that encapsulated their knockout campaign and there will need to be serious improvement at the sharp end of the competition."
BBC Sport's Phil McNulty at Stamford Bridge

2136: Full-time Chelsea 2-1 Cluj

2136: Full-time PSV Eindhoven 1-3 Liverpool

2135: Apparently, Barca haven't lost for 20 games. I'm not sure this one will upset them too much though, will it?

2133: "So it looks like we should play Drogba at home when teams park the bus, and Anelka away where he will get more freedom to move the ball."
Smitho at home doing work, via text on 81111

2131: GOAL Werder Bremen 2-1 Inter Milan
He's brilliant, I don't care what anyone says - a future Ballon d'Or winner. Zlatan Ibrahimovic picks the ball up 30 yards out, shifts it out of his feet and with minimum fuss but maximum ability promptly demolishes the ball into the back of the net via the Bremen left-hand post. Simply stunning.

2128: "Scolari not happy about something as he indulges in some expansive arm-waving in the direction of his coaching staff, but the life looks to have drained out of Cluj now and Chelsea are in total control.

"It does not look like a table-topping campaign for Chelsea though - and that means some potentially hazardous opponents in the last 16 and they will have to improve."
BBC Sport's Phil McNulty at Stamford Bridge

2127: As it stands, both Chelsea and Inter Milan are set to finish second, meaning Jose Mourinho is not, repeat not, in line for a return to Stamford Bridge - yet.

2126: GOAL Barcelona 2-3 Shakhtar Donetsk
Game over? Silly Stevo? One of the kids repairs some of the damage as Sergei Busquets makes the last few minutes a bit more interesting at Camp Nou.

2125: GOAL Werder Bremen 2-0 Inter Milan
Mesut Ozil is played into space down the Werder left and his cross just evades Claudio Pizarro, but not Markus Rosenberg, who slots past Julio Cesar.

2123: Substitute Mario Balotelli wastes a great chance to level for Inter, his free header from three yards out heading straight for the Werder keeper.

2123: "'Welcome back. We've missed you.' The words of the Chelsea tannoy announcer as he fills in the finer detail on Didier Drogba's clinically-taken goal. Hope that hasn't upset Nicolas Anelka.

"Sanity restored at the Bridge and Chelsea can see the knockout phase on the horizon. This has been a much-improved display in the second half.

"Joe Cole, busy as ever, is sacrificed by Scolari, with Juliano Belletti coming on. Standing ovation for Cole. Surely no more alarms now?"
BBC Sport's Phil McNulty at Stamford Bridge

2120: GOAL Roma 2-0 Bordeaux
Lovely delicate pass from Jeremy Menez puts Francesco Totti through and the Roma captain unleashes an unstoppable low shot from just inside the box. Seconds later Menez is substituted to a standing ovation.

2120: GOAL PSV Eindhoven 1-3 Liverpool
Great day for David Ngog and one he'll remember for a long time, as the French striker runs on to Robbie Keane's pass and fires past Andreas Isaksson. Game over.

2118: GOAL Barcelona 1-3 Shakhtar Donetsk
Remember Luis Fernandinho and his 45-yard shot that was still rising when it hit the net in a Champs Lge game back in October? Well he's scored again and this one is surely all over.

2117: Dirk Marcellis hits the outside of Liverpool's left-hand post from a tight angle as PSV plough forward in search of a leveller. Liverpool presently top Group D.

2115: Macca's been working out some chat for you boy and girls:
"If two or more teams are equal on points, the following criteria are applied:
a) points in the group games played by teams in question;
b) superior goal difference from group games played by teams in question;
c) higher number of goals scored away from home in group games between teams in question;
d) superior goal difference from all group games;
e) number of goals scored;
f) coefficient (don't ask!)."

2113: GOAL Chelsea 2-1 Cluj
Fabulous goal and that pretty much wraps up Chelsea's last 16 qualification. Joe Cole clips the ball over a defender and into space for Didier Drogba to beautifully take the ball down the without pausing, the Ivorian slams the ball past Nuno Claro. Awesome.

2112: GOAL Panathinaikos 1-0 Anorthosis Famagusta
Inter may have to settle for second place in Group B as Giorgos Karagounis puts the Greek team ahead over their Cypriot opponents in Athens. They will qualify in first place, if things stay AS THEY STAND.

2111: GOAL PSV Eindhoven 1-2 Liverpool
That's a little smasher, good enough to win this game, or even any game. Albert Riera, who has been most impressive tonight, collects the ball and promptly spanks it into the top corner from 25 yards. Stunning strike from the Spaniard.

2109: "Surprised at Drogba's wonderful reception given his supposed recent meeting with Inter Milan. Chelsea's fans have just gone up a bit in my estimation..."

2107: Didier Drogba has come on to a hero's reception at Stamford Bridge, replacing Salomon Kalou.

2106: GOAL Werder Bremen 1-0 Inter Milan
Inter get themselves into a real mess defensively and Mesut Ozil fires in a shot that Julio Cesar deflects away, before Claudio Pizarro lashes in the rebound. Jose Mourinho looks understandably furious.

2105: "The tension is back as Chelsea end their best spell of the game by conceding a goal of stunning simplicity.

"As my colleague Mr Stevenson so rightly said, Yssouf Kone had a little warning for Scolari yesterday and he was as good as his word with a powerful far post header.

"Chelsea have stepped up a gear in the second half and you would still back them to win this game, but what happened to that old air of invincibility that used to shroud Stamford Bridge?

"Word of Roma's goal has already reached Stamford Bridge, just easing the nerves a little."
BBC Sport's Phil McNulty at Stamford Bridge

2102: GOAL Roma 1-0 Bordeaux
Sighs of relief at Stamford Bridge as the Italians do Chelsea a massive favour. Simone Perrotta scampers away down the right and his cross is controlled by Matteo Brighi before he hammers it home.

2101: GOAL Barcelona 1-2 Shakhtar Donetsk
Not over just yet, as former Arsenal left-back Silvinho pulls one back for Josep Guardiola's men in Catalonia.

2100: GOAL Barcelona 0-2 Shakhtar Donetsk
You can't win anything with kids, can you? Barca warm up for El Clasico by going 2-0 down at home, with Oleksandr Gladkyy bagging his second of the evening for the no doubt ecstatic visitors.

2058: Oh what a save. Joe Cole brings the ball down and fires goalwards, but somehow Nuno Claro sticks out a strong left arm and deflects the ball behind for a corner. Remarkable.

2057: GOAL Chelsea 1-1 Cluj
Problems now. Juan Culio backheels the ball to Cristian Panin down the right and his gorgeous head-me-in-son cross is headed in by lone striker Yssouf Kone at the back post. Fine header, fine goal. He did warn Chelsea yesterday, to be fair to him.

2055: Bordeaux have started the second half really well in Rome, I wonder what Laurent Blanc said at half-time. Roma are sitting too deep. Meanwhile at Chelsea, Joe Cole shoots at the Cluj keeper.

2052: Claudio Pizarro blazes over from the penalty spot for Werder, the German team's best chance so far.

2050: "Chelsea will win the group now only to get Real Madrid in the last 16."
Alisdair, pub in Putney, via text on 81111

Easiest draw they could get, surely?

2049: Zlatan comes on for Inter. Most arrogant footballer in the world today? Maybe, but he's still awesome.

2047: Zlatan Ibrahimovic is warming up for Inter Milan in Bremen. He's got magic in those boots, and no mistake. We're back under way across Europe, with goals very much on the agenda.

2045: Not only does Macca do more work than Danny the Stat, he's only gone and doubled DtS's half-time output. Remarkable: "Jamie Carragher is head, shoulders, knees and toes ahead of his team-mates in the all-important Player Rater battle over in Eindhoven. You rate him as a magnificent 8.05, with scorer Ryan Babel next best on 7.38. Any thoughts?"

2040: In the absence of Danny the Stat (does he ever work these days??), my gaffer-in-residence Macca has this half-time chat for you, punters: "Uninspiring stuff from Chelsea and that's reflected in the half-time Player Rater scores. That is, unless your name is Cole. Joe leads the way on 6.64, closely followed by Ashley on 6.55. But whether your name is Cole or not, you can still have your say."

2036: "Kalou's goal has changed the mood at Stamford Bridge at half-time. Cluj have shown plenty of spirit, but Chelsea will now surely go on to make their superior fitness and technique count.

"Not an impressive Chelsea performance, but tonight is about getting the job done, qualifying and nothing else. So far so good, but Scolari will hope for no second-half slip-ups."
BBC Sport's Phil McNulty at Stamford Bridge

2033: Half-time PSV Eindhoven 1-1 Liverpool

2033: Half-time Chelsea 1-0 Cluj

2032: GOAL PSV Eindhoven 1-1 Liverpool
The much-maligned Lucas Leiva fires over a cross from the right and Dutchman Ryan Babel rises highest to glance home a header via the right hand of Andreas Isaksson.

2029: Andrea Dossena sends over a cross from the Liverpool left and David Ngog forces Andreas Isaksson to at least make a save, though he probably should have done better.

2029: Whistling reverberates around the Stadio Olimpico in Rome - have Bordeaux just been told news that their Champions League last 16 dream just got a whole lot harder?

2028: "Breakthough at last from Salomon Kalou and huge relief all around Stamford Bridge.

"Scolari had just called Joe Cole over for a lengthy touchline chat, and he passed the coach's messages on to Salomon Kalou and Deco. Ashley Cole then got a one-on-one with Big Phil in an attempt to spark them into action.

"Whatever he said, life is suddenly looking a whole lot better for Chelsea."
BBC Sport's Phil McNulty at Stamford Bridge

2024: GOAL Chelsea 1-0 Cluj
Deco swings over a free-kick from 40 yards out and with John Terry being manhandled to the ground, Cluj leave Salomon Kalou all on his own to control the ball and smash it into the net from close range. Kalou's first goal in 10, I'm reliably informed.

2023: That, I believe, is PSV's first Champions League goal this season that hasn't been scored by Danny Kovermans. And crucially, it means Liverpool - as things stand - will finish second in Group D.

2020: GOAL PSV Eindhoven 1-0 Liverpool
Sloppy goal to concede, that. PSV Eindhoven swing over a corner from the right and Javier Mascherano inexplicably ducks under the ball, allowing it to hit another PSV player before bouncing into Danko Lazovic's path, the striker slotting past Diego Cavalieri.

2018: Close for Chelsea that one, as Salomon Kalou's shot from the edge of the area is deflected just over the bar. The loop had the keeper beaten all ends up there.

2017: GOAL Barcelona 0-1 Shakhtar Donetsk
Barca's team of kids find themselves 1-0 down with Oleksandr Gladkyy giving the visitors the lead in the Camp Nou.

2015: "Cluj - backed by a noisy band of followers - are enjoying this and Chelsea desperately need to have a sustained period of possession and pressure to exert their authority here. Two close calls have done nothing to ease the tension inside Stamford Bridge.

"Scolari is stalking his technical area, hands in pockets. Chelsea need to get Joe Cole more involved because the Cluj defence have had a relatively comfortable first half hour."
BBC Sport's Phil McNulty at Stamford Bridge

2013: One goal so far. Is this some sort of joke?

2010: Joe Cole chests down a cross from the left on the edge of the 18-yard box and tees himself up for a shot, but just slices the half-volley a touch and it sails wide of Nuno Claro's left-hand post.

2009: Albert Reira has enjoyed a good start to the game for Liverpool in Eindhoven, but he receives a painful looking ball in his face from close-range with a PSV defender trying to clear his lines.

2008: "I'm watching the Chelsea game. Whoever said the Bridge was quiet? It's very loud tonight, shame it's mainly jeers and groans for our non-performing side!"

2006: GOAL Basle 0-1 Sporting
Marat Izmailov is perhaps a touch offside when he collects the ball down the right, but play continues and his cross is converted from close range by Yanick Djalo.

2004: "If Chelsea don't go through I will admit to Ross at work that Gerrard is better than Lampard. And that's not gonna happen."
Steve Park, via text on 81111

2001: Oh my goodness me. Chelsea are undone down the right by Juan Culio and his cross is headed goalwards by Hugo Alcantara, Jon Obi Mikel brilliantly getting back to clear the ball off the line. That was desperately close.

2000: Lack of action in the Philips Stadion in Eindhoven so far, though Timmy Simons does shoot straight at Diego Cavalieri, who beats the ball away.

1959: "Big Phil - after assuring us he is feeling no pressure - is showing some early animation on the touchline as demands that central defenders John Terry and Alex take up more advanced positions.

"Few deft early touches from Deco and he needs to produce tonight in Frank Lampard's absence. He had the Stamford Bridge crowd on his case in the home defeat against Arsenal and there are a few nerves around here tonight."
BBC Sport's Phil McNulty at Stamford Bridge

1957: Deco swings over a free-kick and Alex rises high but heads the ball downwards and it bounces over the crossbar. First real sight of goal.

1957: It's a tense night so far, isn't it? Let's hope this dearth of goals ends abruptly. For all our sakes. Chelsea bossing possession so far, but the Romanians will be dangerous on the break.

Great question (because I can answer it) - Friday 19 December, at 1200 GMT.

1952: Alvaro Pereira hammers in a left-foot shot from 30 yards and although it is drifting wide, Chelsea keeper Petr Cech gets across to make a diving save, just in case.

1951: "I wish my texts would get published! I have just touched the ball that Kalou just smacked at me!"

1949: "If Juande Ramos has gone to Real Madrid what is stopping Bernd Schuster taking over at Sunderland?"

Nothing. Absolutely nothing.

1947: Jon Obi Mikel receives possession 40 yards out and proceeds to lash a shot miles high and wide.

1945: We are under way in tonight's eight Champions League matches.

1944: I've just received an anonymous text from a confident Chelsea fan at Stamford Bridge telling me he has put his life savings of 8000 on the Blues to reach the knockout stages. Not confident enough to leave a name, mind. Big Phil looks unflustered too. So far.

1941: Just a thought - what an atmosphere there will be in Athens tonight at the Olympic Stadium for the Panathinaikos v Anorthosis Famagusta contest. A point separates them behind Inter Milan in Group B - it's winner takes all for last 16 qualification. Crikey.

1938: "(See 1929) I wonder if their Christmas spirit could extend to donating one more scarf, just down the road, to Jimmy Bullard, in case he's run out of them to wear whilst playing."

1934: El Clasico fans, here's the Barcelona team for their game, spot the first-teamer: Jorquera, Victor Sanchez, Pique, Caceres, Sylvinho, Vazquez, Busquets, Keita, Pedrito, Bojan, Hleb.

1932: "I can't remember the last time I felt this unsure about qualification. Big Phil will win me over when he shows he can do more than bully small teams away from home in the league."

1929: Radio One's Newsbeat's David Garrido informs me that Chelsea have put a scarf on every seat inside Stamford Bridge today - more than 40,000. I wonder how many will be given away as Christmas presents in 16 days' time. It is credit crunch Britain we're living in, after all.

1927: "I've got 5 on Chelsea to draw 1-1 and Bordeaux to win 2-1 in Rome, the odds are 288/1. It's gonna be a great night for football... Scolari will be eating his words tonight. Come on! I need a holiday."
Jeet from Tottenham, via text on 81111

1924: So Joe Cole replacing the suspended Frank Lampard is Chelsea's only change from the side that beat Bolton on Saturday. Skipper John Terry starts despite being one yellow card away from a European suspension.

1921:Liverpool make seven changes from the team that beat Blackburn at the weekend. In come Diego Cavalieri, Daniel Agger, Andrea Dossena, Leiva Lucas, Albert Riera, David Ngog and Robbie Keane. Making way are Pepe Reina, Sami Hyypia, Emiliano Insua, Yossi Benayoun, Xabi Alonso, Steven Gerrard and Dirk Kuyt.

1917: "Luiz Felipe Scolari has resisted the temptation to pair Nicolas Anelka and Didier Drogba in his attempt to secure that all-important win tonight. Anelka starts, with Drogba in reserve on the bench. Joe Cole's return will give Chelsea crucial invention.

"Noisy contingent from Cluj, home of the Cheeky Girls and the team that will be aiming to bring a premature end to Chelsea's Champions League campaign.

"My prediction - a comfortable victory for a Chelsea side I have yet to see win this season."
BBC Sport's Phil McNulty at Stamford Bridge

As I walked into the office this afternoon, I was greeted by the news that Real Madrid had sacked Bernd Schuster and replaced him with Juande Ramos, four days before 'El Clasico'. 1849: Bordeaux could dump Chelsea out, but they will need to beat Roma in Rome to stand any chance of qualifying. What chance a surprise Italian slip-up tonight? Elsewhere, top spot in Group B is up for grabs, the Barcelona-dominated Group C is all wrapped up and there's some important jostling for position in Liverpool's Group D. It's time to go again.

1845: It's not part of Roman Abramovich's plan for world domination, is it? Chelsea, backed by the Russian billionaire, need to beat the not-to-be-underestimated Cluj of Romania in order to guarantee their place in the last 16. Having reached the final in May, that is hardly even the bare minimum requirement down at the Bridge these days. Pressure? Oh yes, there's pressure on Scolari and his players tonight. Make no mistake about that.

1840: "Pressure? You try being coach of Brazil. There, everyone is a coach. This is zero pressure." Hmm. I wonder how Luiz Felipe Scolari will feel at 2135 GMT tonight if he becomes the first Chelsea boss to fail to lead them out of the group stage of the Champions League. I wonder.
