McGhee said his players would learn from Nancy's display
Motherwell manager Mark McGhee had no complaints after watching his side lose 3-0 on aggregate to impressive Uefa Cup opponents Nancy.
"There's so much they do that we want to do. The movement of the strikers and the quality of their touch was fabulous," he told BBC Sport.
"The free-kicks we lost for the goals were bad ones to give away.
"But, in general play, there were a lot of good things we were trying to do. We don't feel we can't have some pride."
McGhee said his players would use the experience of their Uefa Cup defeat to improve as a team.
"We'll use that as a template for what we're trying to achieve. You don't get as good as that by just playing in games.

"You get it by working day in and day out - working at your touch, strength and fitness. I'm quite prepared to work as hard as my players are."
Motherwell captain Stephen Craigan admitted Nancy were by far the better side.
But he was unhappy at the space they got at Fir Park, and the nature of the goals Motherwell conceded.
"We let them show their quality and we conceded two early goals," he told BBC Sport.
"If you concede one then you leave yourself open. And we knew that, if they scored, we needed to find three.
"It kind of deflated us. Once they went two up they showed their quality and their strikers were fantastic. The manager just said after the game that we all have to learn from playing against teams like that."
