1620:FINAL WHISTLE Dreams of European glory are over for another season for Hibs as Elfsborg's fitness and class tell.

1554: A shot on target from Dean Shiels that the Swedish keeper deals with easily. Elfsborg will be setting up a defence with flat-pack furniture soon.

1549: John Rankin replaces Ross Chisholm with 27 minutes remaining as Mixu Paatelainen mixes things up a bit.

1544: Hibs carve out their best opportunity of both ties so far as Steven Fletcher, Ross Chisholm and Colin Nish combine, but the former Kilmarnock striker's effort goes just wide with the Elfsborg keeper beaten.

1532: The second half kicks off and it's worth remembering that no Scottish team has ever won a European tie after losing the first leg at home. Can Hibs make history - or at least score a goal?

"Hibs must take something out of the next 45 minutes."

1517: HALF-TIMEElfsborg 1-0 Hibernian Goalkeeping problems continue to haunt Hibs as young Andy McNeil's error helps the Swedes to a commanding interval position. A few flurries of activity from Mixu Paatelainen's men, but nothing to seriously worry Elfsborg.

1509: I've been to Sweden once on holiday. My dad and I sneaked into the Ullevi Stadium in Gothenburg and were treated to an impromptu tour by a friendly member of the office staff. Dundee United, of course, won at that venue on the way to Uefa Cup final glory - something Hibs don't look likely to be concerning themselves with this season.

"The Hibs goalkeeper certainly didn't cover himself in glory."
BBC Radio Scotland commentator Scott Davie
