Taddei's goal put Roma ahead in the Santiago Bernabeu
Nine-time winners Real Madrid were knocked out of the Champions League after losing 2-1 at home to Roma.
Real, who ended the game with 10 men after Pepe was sent off for two yellow cards, went out in the last 16, 4-2 on aggregate to their Italian opponents.
Alberto Aquilani hit the bar for Roma as did Julio Baptista for Real, before Pepe harshly saw red for the hosts.
Taddei headed Roma in front on the night before Raul slotted in for Real, but Mirko Vucinic's header sealed it.
