Mircea Lucescu says Celtic were lucky against Milan and Benfica

"I would like to have been lucky too," he said after the 2-1 defeat.

"Organisationally, we did very well in the game. But we made a big mistake to give them a goal and, after this, Celtic became much more confident.

"We also made a big mistake in the last minute when some of my players thought the game was already finished."

Lucescu had said before the game that Celtic had been fortunate to beat AC Milan and Benfica - and the Romanian did not change tack after the game.

"I don't see why they have been so angry," he said.

"I said you were lucky, but I wanted to be lucky too. He was lucky.

"I think we played better, I think we deserved to win.

"We are a better team and we deserve to be in the last 16."
