Rijkaard looks on from the Ibrox touchlines as his side toil |
Barcelona head coach Frank Rijkaard believes Rangers can follow his side through to the last 16 of the Champions League. The 0-0 draw at Ibrox leaves both sides locked on seven points at the top of Champions League Group E.
"Rangers are a very strong team and, above all, they have had some
good results," he said.
"It is still in their own hands and it is possible they could get through the group."
Despite dominating, the Catalan giants could not find a way through a stubborn Ibrox rearguard and Rijkaard was disappointed with his side's inability to score.

"We started the match well and we had good possession but I was
disappointed that we didn't score," he added.
"Rangers are a good team and I thought it was a good match but we just have to keep working.
"The team played well and we played to win.
"We kept pushing forward but couldn't score and that was disappointing for me."
One of Rijkaard's goal-mouth sinners - Thierry Henry - echoed his manager's thoughts but added that every point counts in the Champions League.
Henry goes close for Barca as David Weir looks on |
Henry missed one of his side's best opportunities when he sent a free header over the bar in the second-half.
"It's the second time we played away in three games and we are top of the group,"
"A win would have been better but now we two matches at home.
"But it was an important point for both teams tonight.
"Rangers have done well so far, beating Stuttgart and beating Lyon so I see no reason why they cannot qualify."
