Pedersen played a starring role in Blackburn's win |
Blackburn's 6-0 aggregate win over FK Vetra in the third round of the Intertoto Cup took them into the second qualifying round of the Uefa Cup. Morten Gamst Pedersen headed in David Bentley's cross to stretch Rovers' 2-0 first-leg lead against the Lithuanians.
Vetra midfielder Dejan Miloseski was sent off before Pedersen set up Jason Roberts for Rovers' second goal.
Benni McCarthy scored Blackburn's third and Christopher Samba touched in Pedersen's free-kick for the fourth.
Vetra started brightly and almost reduced the first-leg arrears as Brazilian striker Severino beat the offside trap and fired past Brad Freidel but into the side netting.
That served to wake up Blackburn and they took the lead two minutes later. Roberts held up the ball before playing it to Bentley, who crossed for Pedersen to head home.

Vetra's hopes effectively disappeared after they were reduced to 10 men when midfielder Dejan Miloseski brought down Stephen Warnock and was shown a second yellow card.
Pedersen was instrumental as Rovers stretched their lead even further three minutes into the second half.
The Norwegian worked his way to the dead-ball line where he pulled the ball back for Roberts to score from close range.
McCarthy scored Rovers' third on the day when he acrobatically connected with Bentley's cross.
Pedersen then drifted in a free-kick from the right and was initially credited with a second goal, but it was later given to Samba who had got a glancing touch.
Blackburn manager Mark Hughes:
"The tie was over after the first goal. "We had a good workout in the second half and I am delighted with the number of goals we scored.
"The key was the quality and the service into the box from wide areas. That was the difference."
