Juve promotion push on track
Frenchman Didier Deschamps
Deschamps took charge of Juve in the summer
Disgraced Italian club Juventus went top of Serie B despite being held to a 1-1 draw at Genoa on Friday.

Juve, relegated in the summer over match-fixing allegations, are level with Napoli, who play Frosinone on Saturday, but have a game in hand.

Czech Pavel Nedved put Juve ahead in the 71st minute with a free-kick that was deflected off Genoa's Ivan Juric.

Croatian Juric equalised two minutes later when he latched on to a through pass from Giuseppe Greco.

Nedved was sent off in injury time for a second yellow card after a foul on Francesco Bega.

In October Juve, Lazio and Fiorentina had their penalties for involvement in the country's match-fixing scandal reduced.

Lazio had their penalty slashed from 11 points to three, Juventus' was reduced to nine from 17, while Fiorentina's deficit was cut from 19 to 15 points.

AC Milan failed in their bid to have their eight-point penalty from the start of the season reduced.

Juve, who are managed by Frenchman Didier Deschamps, have yet to lose a game in Serie B this season.
