Midfielder David Beckham says he is not unduly worried about being confined to the Real Madrid bench since the arrival of Jose Antonio Reyes from Arsenal. The 31-year-old said: "I can't complain because I'm not in the starting line-up. There are lots of players on the bench in the same circumstances.
"I will have to adapt to the new situation and work hard to win coach Fabio Capello's confidence.
"Reyes is a fantastic player and I can understand why he is playing."
Capello gave former England captain Beckham hope of a recall when he spoke after Sunday's 1-1 draw with Atletico Madrid.
"We have got a good squad of 20 players and there will be some changes in the next few games," said the Italian.
Beckham is a free agent at the end of the season but the club and his representatives say they are discussing a two-year extension to his contract.
