| The start of the Italian Serie A has been put back by two weeks from August 27 to the weekend of 9-10 September. The delay also applies to the Serie B season and is a consequence of Italy's recent match-fixing scandal. Juventus are currently scheduled to start the new campaign in Serie B and with a 17-point deduction. The club have lodged an appeal with the Italian Olympic Committee (CONI) - but it may not reach its verdict until 24-25 August.
