Buffon has been linked with moves to Arsenal and AC Milan after Juventus' demotion to Italy's second tier and 30-point deduction for match fixing.

But Deschamps said: "We have managed to keep the goalkeeper. I am 100% certain that Buffon is staying.

"It is important that we have managed to keep a world-class goalkeeper and striker - Alessandro Del Piero."

France striker David Trezeguet, also linked to Arsenal, is another who has been tipped to leave in the wake of the verdict.

But the new Juve boss is determined to keep him at the club.
