TNS sure of European progression
Champions League
The New Saints' owner Mike Harris says his side can easily overcome a 1-0 Champions League first round, first leg deficit to Finnish champions MyPa.

"We should have battered them, it could easily have been 7-0 to us," Harris told BBC Sport after the away defeat.

"Our game plan was to keep it tight, but if we'd been more adventurous they would have crumbled. I'll be very angry if we don't win the return by enough."

The Welsh champions welcome MyPa to Newtown's Latham Park next Wednesday.

"MyPa are not a very good side, they've not had a good start to the season and if we'd gone at them in the first 20 minutes we would have made them pay," said Harris.

"They got a very lucky goal, but other than that we were so comfortable.

"We kept the ball easily and they couldn't get near us, but we just didn't get any penetration going forward."

The winners of the tie will advance to the second qualifying round to meet FC Copenhagen over two legs on 25/26 July and 1/2 August.

The victors from that encounter advance to the third qualifying round, that draw to be made on 28 July when another 18 teams enter.

The double-legged third qualifying round will be played on 8/9 and 22/23 August.
