Beckham and Owen have yet to win any silverware with Real |
Striker Michael Owen and midfielder David Beckham have insisted that they will remain at Real Madrid next season, despite reports linking them to moves. "It's a fantastic team with incredible facilities. I have no regrets from my side in joining them," said Owen, 25.
"It's only speculation about my future. I'm getting used to the language and am quite happy to be in Madrid."
Beckham, 30, gave a greater rebuttal of the rumours and said: "I want to end my career there - that's the end of that."
The England duo have joined up with Sven-Goran Eriksson's squad in New York for Tuesday's friendly against Colombia after finishing the domestic season in Spain on Saturday with a 3-1 win at Real Zaragoza.
Owen opened the scoring with his 13th La Liga goal of the campaign but, despite his success in front of goal this season, he has constantly been linked with a return to the Premiership during his first season at Real.
It is the sort of speculation that Beckham has long since become accustomed to after two seasons at the Bernabeu during which the club have failed to win any silverware.
"There has been a lot of talk about me coming back to England since the day I signed for Real Madrid," said the England skipper.
"People have said maybe every week that there are rumours of me coming back but, for me, I'm happy at Real Madrid."
However, Beckham did not rule out finishing his career in the United States.
"One day that could happen," he said. "I've learned to never say no, never say never.
"I never thought I would leave Manchester United but I did.
"I love America. I have been on holidays many times to Los Angeles and New York - so anything can happen."
